Sad News.
A good friend of mine from high school and his wife, passed away this morning. Matt and Stacey Smith were killed while on a trip to Tahoe, when their car apparently hit some black ice and veered into a tree, killing them both instantly. Matt was on the phone with his brother, and his brother said the last thing Matt said was "Please check my email on Myspace". I knew Matt since 9th grade, we had a lot of the same classes together in high school, and his wife Stacey and I had a lot of classes together at Ohlone College. I saw them as recently as two weeks ago. Matt was excited about becoming an electrician, and Stacey was excited about having children soon. It's always especially sad when two people in the prime of their life are taken away so young. They will be missed.
By the way, this is a joke.

You have a really great blog here! Sometimes the only place you can really be in life is one place at a time! I think you should check out this website! It's about life insurance!

Wow... I remember Matt as far back as 4th grade. We played baseball together and mr bro and him were on the same team for like 4 years. I am totally shocked, I really dont know what to say.

I hear Stacey's last words were, "Matt, Ive been thinking and I think we should give the 'Hot Plate' another go..."
Such a shame. Imagine Matt having to die after being given the go ahead on a "Hot Plate". He must be pissed!

Funny.. I don't feel dead. maybe a little tired but that's because I had to help run a Halloween dance on Friday night. The kids looked really cute in their costumes. And I did have to use some energy because some kids were crying as they came out of the haunted house, so that is where my natural maternal skills come into play. And maybe I did stay up a little late last night watching Hotel Rwanda which made me feel depressed, really depressed but not feeling dead. But thanks for your concern Ricky. I am sure with setting my clocks back that extra hour I can feel a little more rested. Getting up and going to work each day is tiring. So thanks again for the concern and if I ever need a eulogy written Matt and I will call you. But that won't work beacuse we will already be dead... so look for a sign.. maybe a dove?
As far a photoshop skills, you can do better than that! You call that a comeback!? You should still feel really BURNED!!! Don't feel jealous because our new friends were ready and willing to get naked and your were not. You can come play with us ANY time! Love, with all my heart (yes it is still beating)

Wow. I don't mean to sound like a stick in the mud, but those comments are really inappropriate. Joking is joking, but about the deceased?
I'm sorry to hear about your friends, Ricky.

Marla, I think Ricky's post is a joke and they're not dead.
Also - how about the spam post being about life insurance? Yeesh.
-
You should have made that somewhat clear that you were joking. The MySpace / last words reference was a good start, but should have been followed up with secondary joke to remove any doubt.
Ricky, take the post down and return to the drawing board. You can do so much better than this; we will all pretend this never happened. You'll have to do a lot better than this to top Matt/Stacy's major burn.
